Science, Language & Arts International School is close-knit, warm, and welcoming group of families who are dedicated to and enthusiastic about the school.
We offer a range of volunteer roles with varying time commitments and encourage all families to lend their support in some capacity.
The primary way parents serve our growing school is through committee work.
Committees include Admissions Support, Equity, Teacher & Staff Appreciation, Library, Events, and many more.
Families also enjoy participating in school life by chaperoning field trips, serving as Class Parents, and sharing their expertise and talents with the community.
In addition to volunteering their time, SLA families demonstrate their affection for the school through philanthropic support. The commitment and strength of the SLA community is demonstrated by our 100 percent family participation in the Annual Fund.

A note about the word “parent”: We recognize that children come from a variety of homes and family structures. We use “parent” to refer to, and honor, anyone who is the child’s primary caregiver.
